A Polished Winter

Nail polish that is...

As you can see, I'm not very brand loyal when it comes to polish. I feel like it all pretty much has the same wear time (4-7 days), so I just purchase the colors I like.

This winter I have been sticking to this color family: (above L to R) The gold has no name, it is by Cynthia Rowley; Emerald #330 by Revlon, in their top speed; Lincoln Park After Dark, #NLW42 by OPI; Tyin' the Knot, #32 by Sally Hansen, in their diamond strength; an un-named nude by e.l.f.; and a classic, Vanilla Whimsy #08 by Sally Hansen, in Maximum Growth.

I have started adding a top coat to ensure longer wear from my polish, but I really don't mind when it chips, it just gives me a reason to change colors. I do try to give my nails a day or so to "breathe" with no polish between coats, but that doesn't always happen.

Do you have a go to brand for polish or, like me, do you just choose your color?

Happy Mani-Monday!

  1. I stick with OPI on my toes and gave up on my fingers. I feel as though OPI with a top coat will last indefinitely this time of year, and for close to a month in sandal season.

  2. I rarely paint my nails, although I love when they are done. As soon as I get them all looking nice I break one. :( g
