So if you saw the first "Saturday Styles" post, you learned about traditional taste. Today we are going to totally contrast that and take a look at modern style.
What is Modern? Well when I think modern, I always think sleek, clean lines, polished finishes, geometric shapes. When I think of modern color schemes, I often think of achromatic (black & white) or monochromatic (different shades all of one color). I also use the cues from lighting in a space, and for modern they are globes, clusters, intricate, or abstract shades, etc.
Some key modern pieces:

|Barcelona Chair from DWR|
|Also by Le Corbusier, the Sling Chair|
Again, these style definitions are my interpretation of that genre. This is how I see modern, and I hope it clears up how you see modern style. For a deeper look into what modern style is, check out the "Saturday Styles :: Modern" Board on Pinterest.
So what do you think? Are you more sleek and clean-lined? Is modern your style?
