Paint companies are all about color. And believe me, there is a lot that goes into picking out the appropriate colors, not only for the space, but for the people that are using it and the activities that will take place there.
That being said, paint companies do a lot of research on "trendy" colors. What colors will people like to see in their spaces that will make them feel more at home. Here is a look at Benjamin Moore's colors for 2013.
New Traditional provides a good balance of femininity and masculinity. This palette creates a romantic space.
Artisan is a color rooted in earthy neutrals. They create a warm cozy color scheme to create a space that looks and feels natural.
Urbanite is influenced by the cool industrial colors in urban environments. Though the colors are drawn from a cool environment, they still come together to create a warm feel.
Coastal color scheme is just that. Coastal. I love the cool beach-y tones and the feelings of being on a warm beach that they evoke.
What do you think? Do you like the colors and color schemes that Benjamin Moore has put together? Do you follow any sources for color trends for your space? Whatever sources you follow, make sure that when it comes time to choosing a color for your space, you choose one that you love, regardless of if it is trendy.
